Statistics on the number of students enrolled by public establishment under the supervision of the Ministry in charge of Higher Education in Occitania

This dataset offers a set of statistics on the number of students enrolled from 2006-07 to 2016-17 by public establishment under the supervision of the Ministry in charge of French Higher Education in Occitanie: universities, universities of technology, large establishments , COMUE, Ecoles Normales Supérieures, Ecoles Centrales, INSA, other engineering schools... The data is taken from the student follow-up information system (SISE). Registrations are observed on January 15, except for the University of New Caledonia, which has an additional period to take into account the southern calendar.Each line of this dataset provides statistics for an institution for one university year. This game individually declines a set of variables on the student (sex, original baccalaureate, age at baccalaureate, national attractiveness, international attractiveness) and the training he mainly follows (LMD course, type of diploma , diploma, major discipline, discipline and disciplinary sector). this set concerns the head office of the establishment and not the actual location of the training followed by the student. Cross-referenced and more detailed data are available in the data set "Number of students enrolled in public establishments under the supervision of the Ministry in charge of Higher Education".ESPE, National Training Framework and EPSCP-CPGE agreements: impacts on the changes in numbers measuredCreated by law 2013-595 of the July 8, 2013, the colleges of teaching and education (ESPE) train future teachers from kindergarten to higher education from the start of the 2013 academic year, replacing the university teacher training institutes (IUFM). These new schools organize training courses for the MEEF master's degree (Teaching, Education and Training Professions) dedicated to teaching, education and training professions which prepare for new recruitment competitions. Due to the implementation of the ESPEs, it is not possible to make changes by establishment for the master's course and by extension on the overall workforce, because all the masters preparing for the teaching competitions were not identified in the within institutions in previous years. In the SISE survey, it is considered that the MEEF masters and the “Adapted education DU” are the only courses covered by the ESPEs. Registrations for competition winners are possible either in a M2 MEEF or, for the adapted courses defined by the academic commissions, in a specific "DU training adapted education" (exempted from a diploma or already holder of a master's degree who does not wish to re-enroll in the MEEF Masters). In 2013-2014, the first year of the implementation of ESPEs, MEEF masters only existed in M1. In addition, two new regulatory provisions impact the developments observed this year and create statistical breaks: Training (CNF), set up for Bachelor's degrees. The CNF considerably reduces the number of diploma titles. Some of these titles have become more precise, leading to an easier classification by discipline: this is the case of science degrees, less frequently classified in "multi-sciences", but more in "fundamental sciences and applications" or " natural and life sciences. Conversely, other titles are more general, particularly in literary disciplines (Bachelor's degree in Humanities, for example) and are more frequently classified as "multi-literature, languages, human sciences".- The gradual establishment of conventions between high schools with preparatory classes for the Grandes Ecoles (CPGE) and public scientific, cultural and professional establishments (EPSCP), of which the universities are part, significantly increases the number of enrollments in LMD license from this year, even if double registrations were already possible and effective before. University registrations include these double registrations. These two developments mainly impact the workforce detailed by discipline in L1, the sector which welcomes the vast majority of new entrants. The impact on the total workforce is more marginal. Changes taking into account double registrations are at constant regulatory scope. In 2015-2016 the 2014-15 data of these establishments were renewed: University of New Caledonia, ENS Cachan, ENS Rennes. To find out more about this data set , see the dataset's documentation.
